Dairy Pr
Next Season Will Begin v Month Earlier
Record production figures continue to be shown By the Whangarei Co-op. Dairy Co., Ltd. The make at the factory last month was 312 tons, or one ton in excess of that for Marc , So far this season, the out P“ has been 2737, compared with 2454 tons for the corresponding perm of last season. This year’s make is the largest in the history ®f the company. . „ “From the feed point of view, a practical farmer said this morning, “the present season is the best can remember. After the warm Easter rains, the pastures are in wonderful nick, and the reserve should be su - ficient to carry dairymen well into the winter.” “The small increase in output at the factory this March, compared with the same month last year, may appear strange, considering the fine flush of feed we are having. “I attribute it to the fact that, in most instances, cows will come into profit at least a month earlier next season. Farmers have acted early to guard I against possible abortion trouble and results seem to be exceL lent.
