Sheep, Lambs And Pig Prices At Westfield

[Special to “Northern Advocate "J AUCKLAND, This Day. Additional values at the Westfield stock sale yesterday were:
Pigs.—A full yarding of pigs sold under steady competition at values fully on a par with late rates. Choppers, to £3 9/; heavy baconers, £3 0/ to £3 11/; medium, £3 4/ to £3 7/; light, £2 17/ to £3 2/; heavy porkers, £2 7/ to £2 12/; medium £2 2/ to £2 4/; light, £1 15/ to £1 18/,- small and unfinished, 25/ to 31/.
Lambs.—Lambs, came forward in average numbers, and sold steadily at rates on a par with last week Heavy prime lambs, 24/6 to 26/6, riledium, 22/6 to. 24/; 22/; smalL and plain, 17/6 to 19/.
Sheep.—An average entry of sheesp sold under good competition, and we have to report a keen sale at firm late rates for wethers and in> proved values for ewes. Extra heavy prime wethers, £1 10/ to £1 12/9; heavy prime, £1 8/6 to £1 9/9; medium, £1 7/ to £lB/3; light and unished, £1 3/3 to £L 6/6; heavy prime ewes, £1 2/ to £1 3/3; lighter, £1 to £1 1/6; other ewes, 17/ to 19/6.
