The Kumara Racing Club’s autumn meeting was held yesterday and attracted a fair attendance. The weather was overcast, but cleared before the third race, and the remainder of the day was fine. The track was sodden, and the going heavy. The totalisator handled £3,581 10/-, compared with £5,552 10/- at the Golden Jubilee meeting last year, a decrease of £1,971. Results were:—
Flying Handicap, of 70 sovs; five and a half furlongs.—(l) Copyist, 9.0, 1; (2) Arena, 8.0, 2. A length. Time—1.13 3-5.
President’s Handicap, of 175 sovs; one mile and a quarter.—(3) Rose Val, 7.9, car. 7.12, 1; (DMonipere, 8.12, 2; (4) Full Throttle, 7.12, car. 7.10," 3. Five started. Half a length; four lengths. Time —2.19 2-5. Dillman’s Handicap, of 70 sovs; seven furlongs,—(3) Chaste, 7.8, car. 7.5, ,1; (1) Gold Boy, 8.5, 2; (2) Arrowmid, 7.10, car. 7.6, 3., The only starters. A length and a half; three lengths. Time —1,29.
Miners Handicap Trot, of 72 sovs; one mile and a quarter.—(l) Pukeuri, scr, 1; (4) Eva Truman, scr, 2; (3) Erin’s Beauty, 36yds, 3. Severn started. Eight lengths; one length. Time—3.3 3-5.
Stewards’ Handicap, of 70 sovs; six furlongs.—-(2) Full Throttle, 8.3, 1; (1> Copyist, 9.1, car. 9.8, 2; (6) Wee Musk, 7.13, 3. Six started. A length; half a length.
