The Auckland Racing Club’s autumn meeting was continued today at Ellerslie in fine weather before a large attendance. The track was soft again, but showed some improvement on yesterday. Results: —
Nelson Handicap, of 300 sovs; one mile.—Valamito, 8.1, 1; Grand City, 7.8, 2; Valmint, 9.6, 3. Half a head both ways. Time —1.42 2-5. Victoria Handicap, of 350 sovs; two-year-olds; six furlongs.—(l) Royal Bachelor, 8.6, 1; (3)"Wild Flower, 9.8, 2; (2) Saccone, 7.7, 3. All started. Won by two lengths; three-quarters of a length. Time, 1.16 3-5. St. Heliers’ Hurdles, of 300 sovs; one mile and three-quarters.—(3) Killadar, 9.8, 1; (2) Sand Drift, 9.13, 2; (1) Windsor Lad, 10.8, 1. All started. Won by a neck; six lengths. Time 3.18 2-5.
H. O. Nolan Handicap, of 650 sovs; one mile and a half: —(1) Gay Talkie, 7.13, 1; (10) Day Wind, 7.7, 2; (4) Kelly, 7.13, 3. King Rey, Armacourt and Prince Colossus were scratched. Half a length; a neck. Time—2.36 3-5. Autumn Steeplechase, of 350 sovs; about three miles.—Tudor, 11.5, 1; Forest Glow, 9.9, 2; Irish Comet, 9.4 (car. sor Lad, 10.8, 3. All started. Won by eight lengths. Time—6.l 2-5.
