Mrs May T‘ Godby, aged 36, wife of Major Robin Godby (retired), was shot dead after a wedding reception cit which they ; had been guests in an hotel. # A She collapsed at her husband’s ffet. Thd couple had been seated ||f at a table playing dominoes. A fellow guest, Albert Boddy, aged 31, bricklayer, was arrested and charged with murder. The Godbys returned only last Friday from New Zealand after a year’s visit to Major Godby’s mother. Major Godby is a brother of Mr M. H. Godby, of Christchurch.
