Kaikohe Swimming Club’s Dance
i An atmosphere of jollity was evident | all through the Kaikohe Swimming j Club’s presentation dance, held in the i ■ show hall on Tuesday night. The j floor was in excellent order and not;. too crowded for dancing. There were ■ a number of visitors from outside dis- ' tricts. Messrs E. Robinson and B. Stanich ! were M’s.C. After supper, dispensed ; by the committee ladies, Mr C. Cam- : eron presented the following cups and prizes—: - • . f Ladies’ 100 Yards and 50 Yards Championships, and the 25 Yards Handicap.—Miss N. Griffin. Men’s 200, 100 and 50 Yards Championship.—Mr Murray Boyd. Ladies’ Champion Dive.—Miss Joyce Bell. Men’s Champion Dive.—Mr H. Ballantine. 50 Yards Open Breaststroke and 25 Yards Gumboot Race. —G. Lewis. . Men’s 50 Yards Handicap.—J. Driscoll. Ladies’ 50 Yards Handicap and the open plunge.—Miss A. Campbell. - Men’s 25 yards Backstroke.—Mr E. Robinson. Men’s 25 Yards Handicap.—R. Morrison. Boys’ Championship Dive and 50 Yards Handicap.—J. Smith. Boys’ 25 Yards Handicap.—B. Wadsworth. Novelty dances conducted during the evening were won by Miss A. Pausina and partner (Monte Carlo), and winners of the spot waltz were Mrs W. Yorke and Mr B. Broad.
