AUCKLAND, This Day. ; Following a thrilling 1 contest for the 440 yards championship of Auckland, decided at the North Shore Amateur Swimming Club’s carnival at the Tepid Baths last night, T. Hanan, of the Mt. Eden Club, scored a fine victory over R. B. Frankham, a clubmate. The time, sm, 245., was slow, being 10 3-ss. above G. Bridson’s New Zealand record of 5.13 2-ss. W.
