Miss Lu, who created a mild surprise in winning the Tauranga Cup for the second year in succession on Saturday paid the only double figure dividend at* the Bay of Plenty meeting. Gay Rebel and Winlona paid useful prices on the place machine. The weather was fine, and there was a large attendance. The totalisator turnover amounted to £28,317 10/-, against £22,672 10/- on the first day last year, an increase pf £5,645.
