ELABORATE PRECAUTIONS IN AUCKLAND

mT INFANTILE PARALYSIS

IPer Press Association. Copyright.'] AUCKLAND, This Day. Elaborate preparations are being made by the Health Department m Auckland in collaboration with the Auckland Hospital, to control any possible outbreak of infantile paralysis in the Auckland district. No cases of suspects or possible suspects have so far been reported. Pamphlets dealing with the symptoms \ and giving instructions have been circularised to hundreds of the medi- ? cal profession in the Auckland district. The pamphlet follows the lines of that issued to practitioners during the epi- • deniic of 1925. There has been a gratifying response to the appeal by the hospital to people who previously suffered from the disease to volunteer as blood donors. * By TO o’clock this morning, there were 12 volunteers, and it is expected \ that by tomorrow morning there will > be three times that number. f • i L• • ■
