[Special to ",Northern Advocate.”! WELLINGTON, This Day. The Postmaster-General, the Hon. F. Jones, announced today that the business in his department for the halfyear ended September 30, amounted to £1,960,169, the figure for the corresponding period last year being £1,820.748. The main increases were: Postages, £34, 367; telegrams, £14,182; tolls, £25,885; telephones, £54,031. •For September, the increases compared with the same month last year were: Tolls 18.70 per cent., and telegrams 16.09 per cent.
