A fairly large attendence in the Town Hall on Saturday evening saw Ed. Don George, 16 stone, defeat Bob Kruse, 15.4, after a strenuous professional wrestling bout, which ended in the fourth round when the latter was dumped so severely that he was unable to continue.

Before that Kruse was well ahead oh points, and had done most of the forcing.

DAVIS DISQUALIFIED

A rough wrestling bout at New Plymouth on Saturday night, between Wee Willie Davis and Earl McCready ended in the awarding of the bout to McCready in the second round, when Davis was disqualified. McCready had his head and shoulders out of the ring and was being roughed by Davis. The referee attempted to separate them, but Davis continued to throw McCready about the ring, and the referee took the first opportunity of raising McCready’s hand as the token of victory. Davis aimed a vicious kick at the referee as he hurriedly left the ring. Police assisted to calm the excited crowd and to clear the hall. WALKER WINS ON K.O. At the Wellington Winter Show Stadium on Saturday night, George Walker, who was making his first appearance since his return from Australia, beat Lundyn by a knock-out, with one fall each. The match was disappointing. Walker yielded a submission fall in the fourth round, capitulating when Lundyn put a Boston crab on him. In the fifth round, Lundyn tried to obtain the same hold. Walker kicked him through the ropes and when he came back Walker slammed him heavily, knocking him out.

DRAW AT SYDNEY Tom Lurich met Jack Britton in a wrestling match in the Sydney Stadium on Saturday., evening. The contest ended in a draw, each man securing a fall. At the Leichhardt Stadium, Stanley Dusek defeated a fellow-American, Paul BoesCh, by two falls to one.
