This-Was by far the best game played I; - on the Kerikeri ground this season, and |r ■ , it is to be regretted that the home did not display such good form 11,/I 1 ,/ earlier in the season, when, owing to l>. ; a ddntinued series of defeats, a slump jfe. teemed to have set in, and, with the %: Tir-'Weeeptlbn of a faithful few, keenness g' absent from the members of the club. . f ' During the whole of the first half, L . Kerikeri pressed hard, and kept the W: ui; the ehemy’s area practically all P the time. First blood was drawn by • W. Pehe, who scored a splendid try %. ' v '- 'after a concerted rush by the visitors from well inside their own territory. This was quickly followed by a goal - scored from a penalty kick by Cooke, v/hich brought the score level at halfI- ,: -time.
