RESULTS OF WEEK END GOLF A bogey match for the president’s trophy claimed the attention of members of the Whangarei Golf Club over the week-end. The winner was B. ’ Gillig%n, 3 up, the next best score being 3 down'. WHAU VALLEY MEN. .- In the final of the Spalding Cup at .Whau Valley, K. Potter beat E. Dunning, 6 and 4. In the second round of the Walker and Hall Cup, Martin beat Wilson, Dunning beat Preebe, Hughes beat Sheriff by default, and Potter beat Crawford. WHANGAREI LADIES. The senior eclectic handicap, played by members of the Whangarei Ladies’ Club, was won by Miss Joan Riskworth, and the winner of the medal round, run in conjunction, was Mrs Basley, with 105 —31—74. The next best scores were: Miss Lamb, 93 —16— 77; Miss Knowles, 91—13—78; Mrs N. Johnson, 99 —21—78. WHAU VALLEY LADIES. Competition for an L.G.U. medal interested the Whau Valley ladies. The trophy was annexed by Miss M. Steedman with a score of 108 —33 —75. Next best cards were: Miss I. Holman, 94 18 — 76; Miss M. D. Morrison, 113 —36 — 77; Mrs D. McLeod, 98—20—78.
