MI. DENBY FOUR-BALL The first round of the Mt. Denby four-ball handicap was played by members of the Whangarei Golf Club ever the week-end with the following results: —

DENBY LADIES The winner of the L.G.U. and club medal match, played by the Whangarei ladies’ club over the week-end was Miss J. Mclntosh.- Her card showed 93, 18—71, other good ones being these of Mrs. Lynch, 99, 23 —76; Miss Mirrielees, 96, 19—77; Mrs. Basley, 110, 33—77. WHAU VALLEY LADIES Members of the Whau Valley ladies’ club during the past fortnight have participated in the first round of the Farmer's’ Cup. Results are: — Miss A. Holman beat Miss A. McLeod beat Miss M. Whiteman, 3 and 2; Mrs. A. Martin beat Miss R. Laurie, 2 and 1; Mrs. H. Bayley beat Miss M. Dwen, 1 up; Mrs. Pickering beat Mrs. C. Reed, 3 and 2.
