A fresh week opened) quietly on the Auckland Stock Exchange, a fair list of sales including several recorded l late on Saturday. Slight alterations were not numerous. In the banking section New Zealands were unchanged, between £2 5/- and £2 6/-, and reserves were quoted from £5 13/6 to £5 15/-. Insurances were dull. Buyers for New Zealand's dropped back to £2 18/6, and there were none for South British. Farmers’ Tradings were firm, and after business 3d up at 8/9, there were still sellers at that figure, with sellers asking 10/-, which is to be the new par price. Wilsons' Cement made a partial recovery with business at 37/6, after which the market rested 1 between 36/9 and 38/-.
Government stocks were steady and firm. Both the long-dated issues had business at £ 103 15/-, and 1 more could have been placed at that figure. Woolworths (Sydney) were firm between £6 12/6 and £6 16/-.
