DECISIONS AT YESTERDAY’S MEETING

Mr J. A. McLean presided over the monthly meeting of the North Auckland Electric Power Board at Dargaville yesterday. After a short discussion, Mr A. P. Morgan, of Whangarei, was appointed architect to the board.

The tender of the Vickery Electrical Company, Wellington, of £1670 for the supply of ironwork for poles was accepted, the engineer being given authority to purchase several items from Messrs Hall Bros’ tender.

Mr T. R. Overton, the engineer, re- j ported that Mr Morgan had prepared i plans and specifications for the erec- j ticn of depot buildings, and two cot- j tages in Dargaville and would be j ready to call tenders for the work j within a week or two. Mr Overton j was given authority to call for tend- j ers and the acceptance of the neces- j sary tender was left, after a short dis- j ci’ssicn, in the hands of the local j committee. I Messrs Winstone Ltd., advised that IT *k poles are being shipped ftom Australia on February 13.
