PERSONAL

Mesdames E. Bourke and D. Dysart, accompanied by Mrs L. Bourke and family, have returned to Herekino after spending a holiday with Mrs Tom Houston, at Ahipara. Mrs Rutledge and family returned to Kaitaia during the week, after spending their Christmas holidays at the seaside. Mr and Mrs P. Braik have resumed their duties at the Ahipara Native School, after a holiday spent in the Waikato, Auckland and the King Country. Miss Kate Urlich has returned to Kaikohe after spending her Christmas vacation with relatives in’ Kaitaia and Ahipara.

Miss Barbara Murdoch has resumed her duties at the Ahipara Native School after spending her term holidays with relatives and friends in Auckland and Dargaville.

Miss Melva Horsford returns to her heme at Ahipara on Saturday, after holidaying with her aunt. Mrs Cotterill. of Otiria.

Mr and Mrs Lindsay, of Auckland, are camping at Ahipara. Messrs. Thomas Everett and Andrew Covich, two ex-pupils of the Ahipara Native School, were among the candidates who passed the senior free place examination last term at St. Stephen’s College, Bombay, Auckland. Joseph Urlich, one of the Kaitaia District High School pupils who was successful. in matriculating, was also an ex-pupil of the Ahipara Native School.
