KAMO SHEEP FAIR
WAKELIN’S REPORT Walter Wakelin reports holding a sheep fair at Kamo on Saturday, when approximately 1500 sheep were offered to a fair bench of buyers. Torrential rain took place throughout the sale, and this greatly depleted the yarding and attendance. However, the sale is to be considered most successful under the circumstances. Quotations: Store wethers, 18/9 to 22/; 4 and 6-tooth ewes, to 25/6; 5-year-old ewes, to 24/; aged ewes, to 19/; good shorn lambs, to 16/; m.s. woolly lambs, to 15/6; small lambs, 10/ to 13/; Southdown rams, to 3Jgns; Romney rams, to s£gns.
