NORTHLAND TRIBE
Princess, Northland Tribe.
Water St., Whangarei, Tuesday, January 21, 1935. “Advocate” Office, Hello, Everybody, ■Have you ever tried writing with one hand and packing with the other? Well, that’s just about what I’m doing at present. You see I’m being sent away for a holiday and it’s rather a rush. Of course, it’s very upsetting to have to go away when Headquarters is such an exciting place. Whatever shall I do when I can’t see each new enrolment that arrives? And who will help with all the extra work? Oh dear! I really don’t warn to go one hit. I’ve begged to be allowed to postpone my holiday till later, but Kupe and the rest of the Staff insist that I take it right now. One thing I can promise you. I shall take care not to miss my train as Kupe did his boat. But before I’d really consent to go, I made one condition and that was that all my letters, and news of the Club membership should be forwarded on to me, and Kupe finally promised to do this. So Northlanders, though I’ll be several hundreds of miles away for a while, I shall be looking for your letters as usual and hoping there will be heaps. Needless to say, I’ll be writing to YOU just the same, so cheerio till next week.
