Demand For Pigs. Over 900 pigs were yarded, and a complete clearance was made at excellent prices. The demand! for store pigs has been created by the spring-dike conditions of the season. A Travel Hostess. A new departure for Australia and New Zealand is the appointment of a travel hostess, Mrs L. Drexler, who represents the Victorian Government Tourist Bureau, and who arrived in Wellington yesterday. Her object is to increase trans-Tas-man travel, and while in the Dominion she will speak of the attractions of Victoria to visitors and, from her observations of New Zealand, where an extensive itinerary has been mapped out for her, Mrs Drexler- will tell Australians something about this country.
Thrifty shoppers should not miss the exceptional bargain days of Henry Wilson’s sale of Benjamin’s stock, Newmarket.
