BOROUGH AND POWER

SUPPLY FOR WHANGAREI ENGINEERS CONFER TODAY. REPORT TO BE TABLED. Recently the North Auckland Power Board and the Whangarei Borough Council conferred on the question of the degree to which Whangarei Borough could, and would take advantage of the reticulation under the Power Board scheme. At a meeting of the Power Board, held at Dargaville today, the chairman, Mr J. A. McLean, tabled a report dealing with the conference. It was followed by a long discussion, ,but no definite decision was reached. It was decided, instead, that Mr T. R. Overton, the Power Board engineer, and Mr W. J. Dawson, electrical engineer to the Borough of Whangarei, should confer, following which Mr Overton will report back to the board. The two engineers are discussing this question in Dargaville this afternoon.
