RATHER MORE INQUIRY STILL AT 114/. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., reports having received the following cablegram from their London principals, Messrs Samuel Page and Sons, Ltd., dated October 24, reading as follows: —Butter: Rather more inquiry at this end of the week. New Zealand finest salted, 112/ to 114/; Danish, f. 108/ to 109/; Australian, finest unsalted, 114/ to 116/; Australian finest salted, 112/ to 114/;' Australian, g. 108/ to 110/. Cheese: The market is slow. New Zealand, white and coloured, 58/ to 58/6. Canadian, white and coloured, 58/ to 60/. W. W. Bowker reports having received a cable from London under date of October 24 as follows:—Buttery The market is steady. New Zealand finest, 112/ to 114/; first, 110/ to 112/; Danish, f.0.b., 110/; Australian, 112/ to 114/. Cheese: The market is slow. New Zealand, white, 58/ to 58/6; coloured, 58/ to 62/. Messrs A. H. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., have received a cable from their London principals, Messrs W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., dated 25th, reading as follows:—Danish butter, 130/ (last year, 120/); New Zealand salted, 113/ (68/ to 71/); Australian, 112/ (68/ to 70/). The cable states that buyers have retired from the market. Last year the market was firm. New Zealand cheese, white and coloured, is selling at 57/, and the market is weak. Last year white cheese was selling at 51/6 to 52/, and coloured cheese from 49/6 to 51A and the market was firm.
