MR GROUNDS’ CAMPAIGN

i Mr W. Grounds, Independent candidate for the Kaipara electorate, has been busy addressing meetings in the Otamatea County during the past few days. On Monday evening, Mir Guy Jackman presided over an attendance of .30 at Whakapirau. The candidate’s address followed the lines of his previous speeches, with particular reference to monetary reform and guaranteed prices. Mr Grounds severely criticised the recent meat agreement made with Great Britain. On the motion of Mr S. Johnson, a vote of thanks to the speaker was carried unanimously. On Tuesday afternoon, Mr Grounds had an attentive hearing from a small group of Mareretu electors, who accorded him a vote of thanks. At both places Mr Grounds answered satisfactorily a number of questions.
