MARERETU

On Saturday last, the official opening of the Marbretu Tennis Club was held in ideal weather. . There was a large number of members and visitors present from Paparoa and Maungaturotd. The president of the club, Mr A. Worthington, welcomed the visitors, and called upon Mrs Worthington to serve the first ball. The courts were then declared open. Mr Bretnall replied on behalf of the visitors, and expressed his wishes for a successfulseason. Afternoon tea' was served by the lady members of the club.
