While 1500 delegates are attending the World Education Conference at Oxford," another gathering of educationalists, some 400 in number, many of whom have come from overseas, will open today at St. Andrew’s University, Scotland, when the presidential address will be delivered by the Master of Balliol, Dr. A. D. Lindsay. It is the first conference of the “new education fellowship” to be held in Britain, and the countries represented include Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germsfny, West Indies, New Zealand, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States. The main subject of the discussion will be education and leisure.
