SERIOUS CHARGE
WOMAN SENTENCED. [Per Press Association. — Copyright .l INVERCARGILL, This Day. Pleading for leniency for Jean Cartwright, who was found guilty of unlawfully using an instrument counsel said she had a husband on relief work, and a family of five, the eldest being 14 years of age. He suggested probation and stringent conditions. Mr Justice Kennedy thought a short sentence would meet the case and ordered reformative detention for eight months.
