A WELLINGTON REMAND. [Per Press Association. — CovyrigJit.i WELLINGTON, This Day. Charges of obtaining £2OO by means of false pretences, obtaining credit by fraud, stealing two motor cars valued at £135 and £275, and escaping from lawful custody were heard against Herbert Lawrence Handley, aged 41, in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Accused pleaded guilty to obtaining £SO from Percy Bradford Wakeford on January 26, 1929, by means of false pretences and escaping from lawful custody at Ngaruawahia on February 18, 1930, and was remanded for' sentence to the Supreme Court at Auckland. He was remanded to appear at Auckland on August 19 on the other charges.
