TRIPLETS!

TAUPAKI’S PHENOMENON. “ALL DOING WELL.” I Special to “Northern Advocate. 1 AUCKLAND, This Day. An animal which is attracting great interest is a Shorthorn cow owned by Mr Ralph Harris, of Taupaki, which gave birth to triplet calves on Monday. The cow IS 12 years old, and, in previous years, has given birth to a single calf only. The calves are of normal weight and appearance. and are all particularly healthy. The phenomenon is causing much interest in the district, and a number of people have already inspected the animal. As the cow and calves are all healthy. Mr Harris is not taking any special precautions. Although twin calves are occasionally born, triplets are rare, and farmers in the district say they have never heard of this before.
