NEW YEAR
(Prize-winning entry by Nellie Harnett, Parua Bay. Age 13.) Soft tinted shadows creep o’er church and tower, As slowly dies the year, the day, the hour, As though the Father sought with beauty rare. To bless the humble rustic temple where The people brought with one accord in prayer - Their joy and love, their grief, their pain, their care.
