MARIPOSA’S FAST TASMAN TRIP. (Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY. This Day. The Mariposa broke the record for the Tasman crossing by U hours. The last Tasman record was set up by the Mariposa in March, 1934. when she made the crossing in 2 days 13 hours 20 minutes. Advices received by Messrs Henderson and McFarlane, local agents for the Matson Line, stale that the trip was accomplished in 591 hours..
