PAYMENT IN KIND
JAP. FLOUR FOR SOVIET. (Received 10 a.m.) TOKIO, August 10. i The Tokio newspaper “Yomiuri Shimbun,” reports that the Soviet has contracted for 400,000 sacks of Japanese flour, as part payment in kind for the Chinese Eastern Railway. Further orders are anticipated. This largely accounts for a recent rise in the prices of Japanese wheat and flour.
