N.Z. WOMEN’S HOCKEY TEAM. (Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY. August 11. The New Zealand women’s hockey team played its final match in Australia yesterday, when its brilliancy defeated a metropolitan team by 4 goals to 1, after the score had been 1 all at half time. The New Zealand team comprised Mesdames Reid and O'Connor. Misses Woollc3 r . McDonald. Samson. Hansen, Savile, McKenzie, Dahlbcrg and Cotter. With pretty short passing movements. the New Zealanders kept the city team on the defensive throughout the second half. Mrs Reid scored 1 goal and Miss Cotter 3.
