Mr William Darwin, who has undertaken, for a wager of £IOO, to push Mr William Amiguet from Brighton, near Melbourne to Sydney, in 10 weeks, is carrying on in spite of a poisoned leg. Darwin and passenger received a remai’kable welcome when they crossed the border at Albury. The men set out on July 20. Albury is 190 miles north-east of Melbourne, and 368 miles south-east of Sydney.
