RIFLE SHOOTING
Till'; VVIIANOAREI (,‘LVIi. ASHTON WINS TROPHY. A variable cross wind and a dull light contributed to marksmanship difficulties when the Whangarei Rifle Club held a week-end shoot for the D. J. Baker trophy. The ranges were 200 and 300 yards. In a close competition wild another scratch man m Litchfield Ashton won the trophy.
