PERSONAL. Mr and Mrs F. Nixon returned to their home in Okaihau last Thursday, accompanied by their daughter. Mrs Montague, who is visiting them for a short period. Card Party. A card evening was held by the Ghillies Basketball Club in the Commerce Hall last Wednesday. Winners of the first prizes were Mrs Cassidy and Mr Jack Bush, while Mrs Richards and Mr Wilson were presented with booby prizes. Gift Afternoon. Friends of Miss Agnes Connor held a kitchen afternoon for her at Mrs Rowsell’s home. Miss Cononr received many useful gifts, and all spent a very pleasant afternoon.
