GOOD DEMAND FOR LAMB, « BANK AND BOARD REPORTS. f ' ■ The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office at the close of business last week:-—Wethers: Smaller supplies have caused prices ”to harden; light, 3gd to 4|d per lb; heavy, 3-id to 3|d per lb. Ewes: The market is depressed owing to the absence of demand; 2d to 2-|d. Lambs: There is a good demand and prices are steady; trade is brighter, with a better demand; twos, 7£d to 7§d; eights, 7d to 7id; fours, Id to lid; seconds, 6£d to 6gd. New Zealand -Meat Producers’ Board. —Lambs: The market is very firm, with prices better. Mutton: There is better trade in wethers at the advanced prices. Ewes: The market is dull, and unchanged. Beef: The market is quiet, owing to low prices of chilled beef. New Zealand porkers: There is better inquiry, but trade is slow. New Zealand baconers: The market is steady and unchanged.
