TRANSPORT SERVICE

GREATER FACILITIES. KAIKOHE-OHAEAWAI-MANGONUI. A daily transport service connecting Ohaeawai and Kaikohe has been initiated by the “Northern Advocate.” A car leaves Ohaeawai daily after the arrival of the service -cars from the North and takes passengers, goods and parcels through to KaiKohe, and to the Kaikohe railway station on request. In the afternoon, the service leaves Kaikohe in time to connect with the northern service cars at Ohaeawai before the cars leave on their homeward journey. The “Northern Advocate’s” service then proceeds through Kerikeri to Mangonui. Passengers are carried between Ohaeawai and Kaikohe, and goods and parcels along the rest of the route.
