WRESTLING
McCREADY OUTPOINTS WADE. f Per Press Association. — Copyright.i DUNEDIN, This Day. Earl McCready, of Canada, 17 stone, and Glen Wade, of America, 15.11, staged a wrestling bout in the Town Hall on Saturday night before a crowd estimated to exceed 3000. The match went the full eight rounds, and the decision was awarded to McCready on points. McCready proved not only the stronger, but the cleverer wrestler. Wade’s defensive work was remarkable. He was heavily punished in the final round, and it was only by hanging | grimly to the ropes that he prevented j a fall being registered against him. It j-really appears as if McCready could i have obtained a fall early if he had Iso desired. The bout was quite devoid 1 of showmanship.
