FRENCH SLOOP

SIX DAYS IN AUCKLAND. t Special to "Northern Advocate ."l AUCKLAND, This Day. The French sloop Amiral Charner, under the command of Commandant Adelus, is due at Auckland on July 30 and will stay six days. The vessel is at present in the Pacific and after visiting Papeete will leave for New Zealand. The Amiral Charner is a sister ship of the sloop Savorgnan de Brazza, which visited Auckland in May, 1933. Mr F. B. Dwyer, of the Internal Affairs Department, has conferred with the Consul for France at Auckland, M. Edouard Joubert, concerning arrangements to be made for the reception of the sloop.
