FATAL EFFECT
j GIG AND CAR COLLIDE. ! MAN KILLED OUTRIGHT. COMPANION HURT. [per Press Association — Copyright.] TIMARU, This Day. A fatal collision involving a gig and a motor car, occurred yesterday. The victim was Mr Hugh Black, aged 38, single, of Morven. His companion, Mr Peter Burke, was injured and taken to hospital. The two men were the occupants jof a gig travelling from Waimate to j Morven, when the vehicle was struck |at the approach of the Waihao bridge by a car driven by Professor Galli, of Timaru. Both occupants of the gig were thrown out.
