AUCTION OF HORSES

GOOD PRICES REALISED. The North Auckland Farmers’ Coop., Ltd., report having held a very good sale of horses at Kamo yesterday. The entry consisted of splendid horses and tiiei’e were buyers in the large attendance who had come from Auckland, Warkworth and Northern parts. Heavy horses were keenly sought after, particularly young mares. Top price was £47, received by Mr Arthur McDonald, Kauri, for a 3-year-old brown filly purchased by Mr C. D. Dawson, Maungatapere. Mr J. O’Shea also received £47 for a brown mare bought by Mr L. Keene, Omana. The same client was paid £42 10/ for a nice brown mare, 9-year-old, the purchaser being Mr Dawson. Heavy realised fi'om £36 to £47; medium draughts, £27 to £37 10/; light draughts. £lB to £26 10/; light harness horses, £9 to £2l; hacks and ponies, £4 10/ to £8 10/; weeds, 20/ to £3 15/; unbroken 18-months-old colts, £26 to £29 15/.
