LYTTELTON BY-ELECTION
LABOUR CANDIDATE. MR T. H. McCOMBS FAVOURED. (Per Press Association.— Covy r i(flit.l CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The Labour Party candidate for the Lyttelton by-election has not been chosen, but there is ground for the belief that Mr T. H. McCombs, only son of the late Mrs ;E. R. McCombs, will be chosen. The selection’will be made by the National Executive of the Labour Party at Wellington on Monday. / It is' said that Mr McCombs has such a heavy support in the electorate that it will be difficult for the executive to prefer any other candidate. Two others believed to-be running for nomination are the Rev. j. K. Archer and Mr J. Mathison. Mr McCombs is a member of the staff of the Seddon Memorial Tech; nical- College, Auckland.
