NEW COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF. [British Official Wireless.! ■ (Received 10 a.m.) ' RUGBY, May 1. Rear-Admiral F. L. Tottenham has befljn appointed Commarider-in-Chief of the African Station, in' succession to Vice-Admiral Sir R. G. R. Evans, famous as “Evans i of the Broke,” -and as a member of Scott’s Antarctic expedition, which he commanded after Scott’s death. In 1917 he was in command of the destroyer Broke, which, with the Swift, met and defeated six German destroyers.
