NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS. The following hours of attendance will be observed by the P. & T. Department during the holiday season: — Postal Branch. New Year’s Day, January 1, 1935. — Closed in all branches. Mails for Auckland and southern offices, also Kohukohu. Paihia, Taumarere, Waimate North, Waipapa, and Whangaroa, Hikurangi, Portland and Kamo, will close at 7.30 a.m. (A clearance of street posting boxes will be made at 7 a.m.) Correspondence usually delivered by postmen may be obtained at the counter between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on the 31st December, Telegraph Branch. New Year’s Day.—Closed all day. Telephone Exchange, Open continuously.
