SPAIN TAKES ACTION. “UNDESIRABLE” JOURNALISTS. | ARRESTS AND EXPULSIONS. [‘‘The Times” Cable.] (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, November 8. The Madrid correspondent of “The Times” states that in the Spanish press there are constant complaints about information published abroad. These have culminated in the arrest of many newspaper correspondents. Mr Reginald Calvert, representative of the “Daily Telegraph,” was taken from his home, blit the British Embassy later secured his release. Mdlle. Thierry, correspondent of the French journal “UOeuvre.” was arrested and expelled. Her expulsion is believed to have been due to her articles on the Catalonion situation. Other journalists have been arrested and expelled from Spain as ‘undesirables.”
