Archbishop Averill arrived in Whangarei this afternoon from Tangiteroria. He is staying at the Vicarage, and will hold confirmation services tomorrow. Mr W. G. Thomson having resigned, the Whangarei County Council yesterday agreed to the appointment of his son as a trustee of the Mangapai Cemetery. The Rev, Fordham Clark, Curate of St. Mary’s Church, New Plymouth, has resigned his position as from the end of February, when he will leave for England. Sir . Holburt Wai’ing, of London, president of the Royal College of Surgeons of Australasia, will come to New Zealand later for a short visit to Te Aroha, Rotorua and Waitomo.
