ARMISTICE DAY

TOMORROW’S OBSERVANCE. TWO MINUTES’ SILENCE. The sixteenth anniversary of the Armistice which terminated the Great War on November 11, 1918, falls on a Sunday this year, and will be observed tomorrow throughout the Empire and in other countries with the customary solemn ceremonies. Churches of all denominations are making appropriate use of the occasion in the holding of special services and pulpit references. Attention is particularly directed to the two minutes of silence, commencing at 11 a.m., and the request is made that the public generally will fall in line With this sacred tribute to the memory of the fallen.
