NORTHERN CRICKET

BAY OF ISLANDS CHAMPIONSHIP j ANOTHER WIN FOR OHAEAWAI. Played at Kawakawa on Sunday, the 1 cricket match between Ohaeawai and Moerewa produced more low scoring and good bowling averages. Weathei conditions were-far from pleasant, and the field was in a terrible condition. The Ludbrook brothers again proved to be the most consistent trundlers, Cecil taking 9 for 28 and Ken 10 for 23. Heathcote, 10 for 29, was also on his mettle. K. Ludbrook, 16, and J. Dixon, 24, were the only other batsmen to reach double figures. The game resulted in a 6-point win for Ohaeawai, and they are now well in the lead in their section. Details are:— OHAEAWAI.—First Innings. K. Ludbrook, Ibw, b Heathcote .. 2 C.
