TAKAHUE
MEETING OF HALL COMMITTEE. The annual meeting of the Takahoe Hall Committee was held in the hall on Friday. The secretary, Mr H. Crone, apologised for the absence of the chairman, Mr A. Wright. Mr Bradley, was elected to the chair. A ballot for the committee for the ensuing year resulted in the election of the following: —Chairman, Mr G. Bradley; secretary, Air H. Crone; committee, Airs Carr, Alossrs W. Ford, H. Carr, B. Bastard, A, Wright. The balance sheet was received and showed a credit balance of £2O. Airs Ca.rr read a notice of motion making out a revised scale of charges for hire of the hall. It avus necessary, she said, to increase revenue with a view to improving the hall. The matter Avas discussed, and, on a--vote being taken, the new scale was accepted unanimously. Recommendations that the hall be painted and lined to a height of six feet were left Avith the uoav committee.
