BAND OF HOPE

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the United Band of Hope was held on Monday in the Methodist Church hall. The Bev, E. Sage presided, and the speaker for the evening jvas Major Marshall, of the Salvation Army, The talk was very much enjoyed by all, A very Interesting programme was rendered by children from the various Sunday schools. The following items were given: Scripture recitation, Nola French; duet, Joy .Robertson and Gladys Green; action song, “Washing Hay, ” four little girls'; recitation, Dotothy McKay; mandolin guitar trio, Mrs Wordsworth, Frances and Laurence Wordsworth; pianoforte solo, Bex Sage; recitation, Bonnie Nicholls; recitation, Doreen Hopewell; violin duet, Frances and Laurence Wordsworth; solo, Elaine Carr; recitation, Murray Simons; pianoforte solo, Jean Cook; recitation, Eunice Hopewell. A very profitable evening was brought to a close with the Benediction.
